Post-Heroes Con 2015
Last weekend was Heroes Con, and it was a blast! I was super happy to sell mostly books the whole weekend. Comics are my foremost focus, so to be able to say my table was successful from book sales almost solely was really good. I sold out of copies of Requiem Sonata and Curse of the Eel, which I'll need to reprint some by SPX, my plan is to get Requiem chapters 1-2 printed together to save money and keep costs down. But yes! Thanks to everyone who came by the table, whether you bought anything or not, your kind words mean the world to me.
Here are some commissions I did over the weekend, sadly I didn't get photos of every piece. I hope you'll consider commissioning me again, and commissions are currently open! Here is my info:
Sketchcard 4x5in: $5
Single color and/or B&W 6x8.5in: $10
Full color 6x8.5in: $20
Single color and/or B&W 8.5x12in: $30
Full color 8.5x12in: $40
If you would like me to ship your commission to you, it'll be $1 for every sketchcard, $2 for every 6x8.5in piece and $3 for every 8.5x12in piece. Email me at jorge@jorgesantiagojr.com if you're interested!

Q is for Qiang
Q is for Qiang, Zhi's older brother.
Qiang is a prodigy much like his sister, only at the violin instead of the piano. Qiang and his sister often performed together at concerts and were almost considered the idols of the classic music scene. But then he stopped performing. I wonder why, and I wonder what he's been up to.
Tools: Prismacolor Turquoise lead holder
Paper: Stillman and Birn Gamma sketchbook

G is for Grimm - A to Z Character Challenge
G is for Grimm, Lady Grimm. She's a character from my magical woman comic, Good Night Mrs Goose that I worked on from about 2009 to 2011.
Grimm is a young witch who finds life to be boring. She yearns for the times of old, when magic had more presence in our life. So she and a group of other witches begin to bring storybook creatures into the real world, hoping to slowly saturate it and bring magic back to its rightful place of glory. Only Mother Goose stands in their way, but I never really got around to drawing most of that! I took a hiatus from it while I was working on my Master's degree, and never picked it back up. Mainly because my art style changed pretty dramatically. Here's a sample of Grimm from 2011.
I'd like to return to Goose one day, I still really like the premise and I think it's almost even a better fit to come out now than it was for the time. But alas, for now it must remain in my cache of ideas to one day get to.

A is for Arya - A to Z challenge
Arya is one of the main characters of my fantasy comic, Rare Drops. Arya goes on adventures to find rare treasures and generally just enjoy life! Check out the first chapter here, The Ice Cave. Or you can purchase the comic here in my Store.
I'm going to try to make a new post everyday with a drawing of another character of mine whose name begins with the next letter of the alphabet. Tomorrow is B! When it's complete, I may compile them all into a sketchbook to sell here and at cons.
Drawn in my Stillman and Birn gamma sketchbook, although I had to remove the lovely cream color in clean up.
