Here are the 3 art stages for the cover of Curse of the Eel chapter 3! The first book is
chapter 1 and 2 together, so there hasn’t been a chapter 2 cover yet.
When I reprint it, I’m going to make them only a chapter per book, it’s
cheaper to print that way oddly enough.
Connie is a frustrated
goth girl who is being bullied. One day she is chased into an abandoned
shack and accidentally summons an eldritch-like eel creature into our
world. Connie is horrified however to find that the Eel is a soft spoken
meddler who loves to eat and watch Oprah. With the Eel as her only
friend, Connie tries to navigate high school life with as few troubles
as possible. Good luck with that.
Tools: Raphael 8404 #3 Brush and FW Ink
Paper: Stillman and Birn Beta paper.

Rare Drops, The Ice Cave
Good morning! Here is a rare post in that I'm not gonna post process stuff, just the final version of a comic I've been working on the past few weeks for Charlotte Mini Con. If you wanted to read an all ages fantasy comic by me with minimal tragedy then here's the comic for you. I hope you enjoy it. Hopefully I'll have this printed by the convention so I should have this for sale soon if anyone would like to buy a copy.
I'll have a table at Charlotte Mini Con, which is this Saturday, January 31st at the Grady Cole Center in NC. Come by and see me for comics and sketches!

Curse of the Eel chapter 3 pencils
So this one took me a while to get to. While I've been planning it
out and and working on it when possible since June, but I think I needed
a break from drawing this large so I could recharge. I ended up
spending so much time from it that returning to 11x17 pages was a treat
and a joy. I haven't done many touch ups on the older pages, partially
out of laziness but more out of wanting to let my inks do the fixing.
I can't wait to ink these, I'm going to use a tandem of brush and Zebra brush pens. I look forward to the challenge.

Inktober entries part 1
Ponyo and Sosuke of Ponyo on the Cliff
Cerise, one of the main characters of Requiem Sonata. She is fun to draw
Zhi, the famed pianist of Requiem Sonata. I can't wait to finish this story Barriss Offee, from Star Wars. I watercolored this one as well. Trafalgar Law, from One Piece. Another fun one that I got as a suggestion Kate Bishop, one of the Hawkeyes. Another suggestion from Instagram and a lot of fun.
That's it for this portion. I'll more later. These were all inked with Kuretake and Zebra Brush Pens on Stillman and Birn paper. Have a great Sunday!
