Hey all, time sure flies! This is a quick look at some of the art from Spencer and Locke volume 2 which finished its 4 issue run a few weeks ago. The book is really well received, so thank you all for reading! Also, below in the pages, there will be spoilers, so maybe don't look until you read the issues!
Materials: Deleter G-pen, Sakura Sumi Ink, Pentel Color Brush
Paper: Stillman and Birn Alpha and Zeta paper
The snowmen of this issue were a blast to draw. Monsters are a lot of fun!
Issue 4 was a great end to this arc, but also a good way for us to really make some things pay off that we started in volume 1.

Spencer and Locke Volume 2 Going Strong!
Hello, welcome to the end of May! I thought I had posted something about S&L volume 2 but that apparently didn't happen, so here's a quick little art gallery of some of my favorite pages that are being shared of the book! These are just my inks, so you can see some of what I was sending to David Pepose, Jasen Smith, and Colin Bell which is our team on the book. I hope you enjoy the quick gallery!

Ringo Nominations & Spencer and Locke Arc 2 announced
Hello! Firstly, thank you everyone who voted for the Spencer and Locke in the 2018 Ringo Awards! We were nominated for Best Series, David is up for Best Writer, Jasen is up for Best Colorist, Colin is in the running for Best Letterer, and I got a nomination for Best Cover Artist! That was a cool surprise and I'm proud that people enjoyed my work enough to vote for it!
Now onto today's news: Spencer and Locke arc 2 has been announced and who they are up against! We'll be bringing the thunder with Roach Riley early next year! I'm hard at work on the pages so I hope you all will enjoy it!
As usual our team is:
David Pepose on Vox
Jasen Smith on Colors
Colin Bell on Letters
Joe Mulvey, Maan House, and myself on Covers
Also me on Pencils and Inks
Here's what was released today in both the colors and my inks. These were drawn mostly with Deleter G-Pen and Pentel Color Brush on Stillman and Birn Alpha paper.

Spencer and Locke issue 2 preview inks
Here are the inks for the preview pages of Spencer and Locke 2. I like sharing the process of the art, I feel like it's too hard to find the inks for comics a lot of the time. There's a few weird references in these pages, one to TMNT, one to Batman Year One, and one of people playing Wii games. Can you find them?
Tools: Zebra and Kuretake disposable brush pens, Pentel Color Brush and the Hybrid Technica
Paper: Stillman and Birn Alpha Paper
The S&L team is David Pepose on words, Jasen Smith on colors, and Colin Bell on letters. I originally wrote this as if we were a band, but I dunno if it made sense.

The Caverns Cover
Remember 2 years ago when I made a mixed media comic that played with reading orientation as well as using different art materials? Well I never printed it, mainly due to money being tight for a long time. I've finally dusted the comic off, and I plan to have it as some of the shows I'll be at this year! Now with a revamped cover, I hope readers will enjoy this experiment, even if it is a little old.
The materials here are Caran d'Ache Watersoluble pencils, Copic Markers and Watercolor on Stillman and Birn papers: Beta for the cover and Epsilon and Delta for the interiors.
